Gizem Nur Kanık
Bio
I am a 23 years old, newly graduate English Teacher from Izmir, Turkey. I love my job and I enjoy the process of learning and teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher since my first day of school because I don’t see teaching as my profession, it is my passion. In my opinion, knowledge is the only thing that never will be ceased. Yesterday someone taught me something, today I am teaching it to someone and tomorrow someone will teach it to somebody else. Thus, the knowledge will never die out and we will have an impact on each other.
Education
I was educated as a language department student in Naci Şensoy Highschool between the years 2014-2018. Then, I started my education as an English Teacher in Aydın Adnan Menderes University in English Language Teaching department in 2019 and graduated in 2023.
Employment
During my time away from school, I worked as a part-time English teacher at the Aydın branch of the English Culture Language Schools in 2021. Again, during the summer vacation of the same year, I gained an experience outside my profession by working as a content manager at Telus International company. This experience has led me to improve myself in the field of business English and then I gave Business English and General English courses during my 3-month English Teaching experience at YDS Academy Izmir branch in 2022.
